This Saturday's ride will be led by Hans and Erik and includes some less-ridden roads by our Newcomers group and packs a few punchy hills ⚠️. We'll meet by the Old Mission and head up beautiful Mission Ridge Rd before we connect with West Mountain Drive. After sneaking through the gates of San Ysidro Ranch, get ready for a very steep Park Ln and some additional hills to follow. The reward, besides bragging rights, is a gorgeous Bella Vista Dr overlooking much of Santa Barbara and the coast. The route finishes with a roll through Summerland, Butterfly Beach and finally Lighthouse Coffee on Chapala St for a much-deserved coffee, Danish or perhaps a fish taco from Kanaloa Seafood next door.

Note that if you are riding through town to the Old Mission, keep in mind that a few blocks of State Street are closed to cyclists due to the farmers' market. Also, if the Park Ln / Bella Vista Dr climbs are not your thing, it's always an option to drop back down to the coast earlier, for example near San Ysidro Ranch.
