You're new here. We're here for you.

If you've moved to Santa Barbara, Carpinteria, Summerland, Montecito or Goleta within the last 18 months and plan to live here at least six months a year — you're invited! Santa Barbara Newcomers is all about welcoming those who are new to the area and ready to connect. Our club has provided fun, engaging activities for new residents since 1956 and we'd love to have you join!  

Ready to Join?

If you meet the requirements above, go ahead and complete the application below.

  • Membership is $150 per person. This is a one-time, non-refundable fee.
  • Each person completes their own application (couples need to apply separately).
  • Your membership lasts two full years. Members who help to run the club by actively serving on an activity committee for at least two 6-month terms or participating on the Board for one 6-month term may earn a third year of membership for $85.

Your First 90 Days

We love welcoming new members, so your first 90 days as a "Newbie" come with a few special perks:

  • Priority access from the waitlist for sold out events.
  • Invitations to Newbie-only events, including our monthly Newbie Orientation and Newbie Meet & Greet gatherings.
  • A special Newbie star on your name tag so other members can spot you easily — and give you an extra-warm welcome.
