Yes, it's the 4th of July, but what better way to kick off the celebrations than with a morning ride before you fire up the grill? We're exploring some new neighborhoods today, including Alta Mesa and TV Hill, the Westside, Samarkand, East San Roque, the Riviera and the Eastside. Will we spot John Palminteri or at least his mustache through the bushes?? No guarantees, but we can't completely rule it out.

If anyone is interested, we'll grab a coffee & fuel up at Dune Coffee Roasters on Anacapa afterwards. But we fully understand if you're instead heading home to watch Tour de France which also starts today!

Today's damage is ~17 miles and ~1400 feet of climbing, so a bit hilly. You're certainly welcome to skip Mission Ridge to shave off 400 feet of hills if that is more your style.

Riders of all experience levels on any type of bike are encouraged to join, and we’ll stop several times to regroup. Please ensure you are confident navigating urban traffic. We also highly recommend downloading the route beforehand so you’re prepared to navigate independently if needed. There are lots of turns on this route! Consider it a contribution to your Strava heat map.
