Get an insider’s look at Cultured Abalone vibrant working farm and the processes that produce sustainable seafood. Located just 20 minutes north of Santa Barbara, their farm is nestled between the beautiful Gaviota Coast and Santa Ynez mountains.
Join us on a tour of their sustainable aquaculture facility on the Gaviota Coast. Abalone farmer, Devin Spencer, will demonstrate abalone cultivation starting from microscopic larvae and ending with market ready abalone. Additionally, we will explore the farm's seaweed production systems and purple sea urchin program. Enjoy abalone prepared by Paul Osborne of Santa Barbara Fish Market and a tasting flight of local wine. Purchase live seafood and a variety of marine merchandise direct from the Farm Shop.
