This is THE event of the Spring Term!

We’re bringing the fun and flair of Vegas to Santa Barbara for an unforgettable night of classic casino games, dancing, and mingling!

A professional casino company will be setting up the scene with authentic tables and expert dealers for blackjack, roulette—even a real craps table. You’ll be playing with house money, so go big, take risks, and enjoy the thrill of winning (or losing) it all without the consequences.

A roaming magician will keep things lively as you chat, play, and soak in the action. Never played before? No problem. Our friendly dealers will happily walk you through the rules and share helpful tips. It’s all about fun, connection, and great vibes. And yes—prizes will be awarded  

When you're ready to switch gears, DJ Zeke will be spinning vinyl with smooth house beats to get the dance floor going—so don’t forget your dancing shoes!

Of course, it wouldn’t be an SB Newcomers event without delicious food and great wine. Enjoy an open wine bar and a spread curated by the acclaimed Santa Barbara Chefs Collective—featuring elegant hors d'oeuvres, a gourmet grazing table, and a tempting dessert bar.

Event Schedule:

•   5:00 PM – Cocktails (outdoors with a sea view, weather permitting)
•   6:00 PM – Casino tables open
•   7:30 PM – DJ Zeke kicks off the dance floor
•   8:59 PM – Last call & one final dance before heading out to your favorite after-hours spot

Suggested Attire (pick your favorite prompt to guide your style!)

• “Vegas called — they want their glam back. Cocktail attire encouraged!”
