Join us on a 2.0 mile walk along San Roque Creek through a beautiful oak and sycamore shaded park at the bottom of San Roque Canyon. This nature trail wines past bedrock mortars that the Chumash Indians wore into the rock while grinding acorns into meal. Stop along the way in an open grassy meadow to take in views of Cathedral Peak. We will walk a loop that intersect with the Jesusita Trail near the Lauro Canyon Reservoir and takes in some of the San Roque neighborhood. There will be a couple of creek crossings that involve walking across stones and the first mile is uphill. The water level in the creek will only be a few inches. Dogs on leash are welcome.

After the walk, you can join us for coffee, tea, and treats at Renaud's Patisserie, 3315 State Street.
