Los Carneros Park has a network of trails, and we will walk a 2.2-mile loop that extends around the south part of Lake Los Carneros and around the park perimeter. The hike is mostly level, and some of it is paved. There is a mix of meadows and woodlands surrounding the lake, with the Santa Ynez Mountains in the background. The Los Carneros Lake area is also the location for the Stow House, built in 1872 and now the headquarters of the Goleta Historical Society.

There's no need to register; just show up! Dogs are welcome if on a leash.

After the walk, you can join us for coffee, tea, and treats at Dean Coffee at 6100 Hollister Rd. in Goleta.

From Santa Barbara, drive north on Highway 101 to Los Carneros Road in Goleta. Turn right and drive 0.3 miles north to the Stow House and Railroad Museum, which will be on your right. Park in the lot; look for the Newcomers sign!
