Join us for an amble along the Carpinteria Bluffs with its variety of wildlife, coastal sage, and eucalyptus groves. Take in the beauty of the coastline, the Santa Ynez Mountains, and the Channel Islands. We will start at Viola Fields Park, walk by the tar pit to the edge of the state campground before returning. The tide will be pretty high, so we will plan to stay on top of the bluff.

This is a relaxing walk at almost three miles round trip with some mild uneven terrain.

There is no need to register; just show up! Bring water and sunblock. Dogs are allowed on leash on the trails.

After the walk, we plan to enjoy coffee, tea, and treats at a local coffee shop.

Directions: Take 101 Freeway South. Exit at Bailard Avenue (Exit 85). Turn right onto Bailard Avenue, and in 200 feet, turn left onto Carpinteria Avenue. The parking lot is 0.1 miles ahead on the right, adjacent to the Viola baseball fields and public restroom. Look for the red and white Newcomers sign.
