Rattlesnake Canyon Trail –  8:30am.  We will hike the beautiful Rattlesnake Canyon trail on Friday.  This is one of Santa Barbara's most popular trails.  (The Rattlesnake Trail is named for its curves, not creatures).

Rattlesnake is a moderately difficult hike right now with the 3 water crossings. A more strenuous option continuing to Gibraltar Rd. from the meadow area is possible (if open) for those who wish.  The main group will hike the familiar trail to and from the meadow.  This is an out and back hike - go at your own pace and turn back anytime.

Bring hiking poles to help with stream crossings and ziploc bags for electronics.

Hiking Distance:  4 miles total with 1400' of elevation gain for the familiar up and back.  For those going up to Gibraltar Rd. add an additional 1.4 miles total.

Hiking times: 2-2.5 hours  (go at your own pace).
