CYCLING - TOUR DE HOPE RANCH +

GOLETA - 36 MILES

Sunday, July 17th --  9:00AM - 12:00PM

This week's ride takes through Hope Ranch and the many hills and homes that make it up. There will be only one starting point which is the parking lot on the ocean side of Cabrillo and Garden St.

We will be traveling over some quiet streets, with beautiful views and houses.  We will be doing multiple short climbs in the easy to moderate range, but we will re-group at the top of all hills.  There are a number of times you can exit Hope Ranch and head to the bike trail and Anna’s for coffee and pastries if you tire of the Tour in Hope Ranch.  Total mileage is 36 miles if you do the entire ride, but you could make it as short as 20 miles. We will be regrouping at the top of all climbs so you can take in the views.  After the coffee stop the ride is pretty flat.

The start is at 9:00AM and has a total ascent of 1,800 ft.

The goal of the Cycling Committee is to hold weekly social meetup rides that are open to cyclists of all levels and abilities. Our rides are typically designed to have multiple start points and route segments and a destination that will allow us to relax and chat with our fellow Newcomers and guests after the ride. These rides are 'No Drop', so no riders will be left behind. Whether you are a beginning rider or a Tour de France champion come out and join us as there will usually be something for everyone.
