Sunset Hike @ Douglas Family Preserve - on the mesa above Arroyo Burro Beach. the property spans 70 acres of undeveloped ocean-front land, and represents the largest area of coastal open space within the city limits of Santa Barbara.

Meet at the far end of the parking lot for Hendry's/Boathouse - park in the furthest lot away from the Boathouse.

We'll take a hike around the preserve, which boasts amazing views of the Pacific Ocean and sunset. Our hike will end with a walk on the beach as the sun sets. Car pooling suggested if possible. You can also park on Alan Road which is the only side street just south of the parking lot entrance. (For those interested, The Boathouse is open until 9pm if you want to get a snack or drink after - there is outdoor seating with heat-lamps.)
