POP UP Late Afternoon Hike with Coastal Views/then meet at Creekside for refreshments

More Mesa is an undeveloped 300-acre oceanfront expanse in Goleta.  The flat blufftop mesa is marbled with hiking trails.  The main trail follows the edge of the bluffs 120 feet above the ocean.  The panoramic views extend from the Santa Ynez Mountains to the Channel Islands.  

Driving Directions:

From SB, drive north on the 101, exit on Turnpike.  Turn left and go 0.3 miles to the first signal at Puente Drive.  Turn right and continue 0.7 miles to Mockingbird Lane.  (Along the way Puente Drive becomes Vieja Drive.)  Parking is NOT allowed on Mockingbird Lane, so park on Vieja Drive by Mockingbird Lane. 

To access More Mesa from the west end, take the 101 south to Patterson Avenue, and drive south 1.3 miles to the trailhead.
