OK folks, here is something cool to do on Friday, September 13!
The Mark Tesla Band will be playing from 2-5:00 at the Red Piano, which is located at 519 State Street. Never heard of the Mark Tesla Band, me neither, until now. Mark is Mark Brinkman, and he is one of us, a Newcomer. And Tesla, well, you guessed it, he owns a Tesla and his house runs on Tesla batteries.
Since the band practices in his garage, in the spot next to his Tesla, and Tesla batteries mounted on the garage wall, well, it just seemed like the perfect name, The Mark Tesla Band. Now, every band needs more than one person, in this case, joining Mark in this new band is John Teetsel on Guitar, Bass and Cajon and John Carey, on Vocals and Guitar. Yes, Newcomers now has its own private band.
There is no cover charge, so no reason not to stop by. Since they are playing from 2-5:00, you will have plenty of time to still make the Newcomers TGIF. Now, this is how to start a weekend, beginning at 2:00 it’s Newcomers until early evening.
This is a great way to mingle with Newcomers and meet some new friends and listen to the recent hits of this new band. Rumor has it that Elon Musk might show up for their first performance, personally, sounds like fake news to me. Let's all come together and show our support for these brave Newcomers.
See you there!
