The goal of the Cycling Committee is to hold weekly social meetup rides that are open to cyclists of all levels and abilities. Our rides are typically designed to have multiple start points and route segments and a destination that will allow us to relax and chat with our fellow Newcomers and guests after the ride. These rides are 'No Drop', so no riders will be left behind. Whether you are a beginning rider or a Tour de France champion come out and join us as there will usually be something for everyone. Yes, I am Riding!

This week's ride has two very different options. One breaks the SBNC Cycling Club mold and  takes us up the world-class Gibraltar climb and the other is one of our popular rides that takes a circular route from Tucker's Grove to the Sandpiper Golf Course. You can ride go a little as 11.8 miles but climb 2,887 feet in the first 5.9 miles or ride 21 miles with a stop for coffee and climb just 581 feet. Both options have their benefits but you will have to pick just one since they both start at 8:30 am to beat the heat.

Start time for the ride is 8:30 AM at Tucker's Grove, which is off Cathedral Oaks and at 8:30 AM at the intersection of Gibraltar Road and Mountain Road, where there is limited but available parking.

Helmets required.  Have plenty of water with you. Rain postpones.
