Meet at 8:30AM Friday morning. Just show up. 

This hike begins at the Buena Vista trailhead: north to the end of the Buena Vista trail, northwest at a split to a little uphill connector to meet the Romero Catway, west downhill on the Romero Catway, south on the San Ysidro trail,  east on the Old Pueblo trail to end near the trailhead.  Basically a "left flag".

Total distance is ~2.9 miles, total elevation gain 850ft.

This is a scenic loop, not difficult hike with views of beautiful homes, the Pacific & islands, canyons, valleys and creeks.  There are many extensions available for those wishing to make the hike longer and or harder.

Directions: From the 101, go north, toward the mountains, on San Ysidro to Hwy 192.  Go right on 192 for @.8mile, then take a left on Park Lane.  Go .3 miles and bear to the right to stay on Park Lane at Mountain Drive junction.  Go .6 miles further on Park Lane to the Buena Vista trailhead on the left. (Note: you will pass the Old Pueblo trailhead sign at .5mile--the hike’s end point). There is good parking before and after the trailhead.
