This is a Friday 8:30am meetup – no need to register.

JESUSITA TRAIL TO INSPIRATION POINT – 8:30 AM. This hike approaches Inspiration Point, from the west via San Roque Canyon and through the Moreno Ranch.   This hike offers ocean and city vistas as well as mountain views to the north of areas like Cathedral Peak.

We welcome you to join us.  For those not members of Santa Barbara Newcomers: you should be aware that this is a 'meetup'; the club's guide is along to show us the trail; they do not know if this hike is appropriate for you.  To help you evaluate if this hike is right for you, here is a map of the trail.

Distance: ~6.5 miles round trip.

Elevation gain: ~1000 feet.

Hiking Time 3.5 hours

Out and back hike, turn around anytime.

DIRECTIONS:  Exit 101 at Las Positas and turn toward the mountains. Crossing State St., Las Positas becomes San Roque. Continue on San Roque past 192. (You can also get to San Roque via 192.)  Go 1/2 mile past 192 and park at the Cater Water Filtration Plant, the trail head for Jesusita.
