Social Hiking At a Relaxed Pace (S.H.A.R.P.)

Where: La Mesa Park to Shoreline Park 

Shoreline Park, a beautiful and popular area, provides sweeping views of the Santa Barbara coastline, the city, and the Santa Ynez Mountains. We'll meet at La Mesa Park, walk along Shoreline Drive and past the entrance to Thousand Steps, stopping to admire the views and watch the surfers at Santa Barbara Point. We'll return via the Lower Mesa neighborhood with shaded streets. Total distance is 2.8 miles with only a slight elevation gain as we make our way back to La Mesa Park. Bring water, hats, and plenty of sunscreen. We'll meet for coffee and conversation afterwards.

Directions: We'll meet at La Mesa Park, which is just south of (towards the beach from) Lazy Acres on Meigs Road. There is ample parking in the lot or along Meigs Road. 

Dogs are welcome on leash.  Bathrooms and water fountains at parks.
