This is a special destination ride, starting in Solvang and following Alisal Road to Nojoqui Falls Park and back. All rides will start and end at the El Rancho Market in Solvang, which has a wonderful deli for our post-ride lunch.

This ride has several reasonable inclines and we will have two options. Depending on the option you choose you can ride anywhere from 12 to 40 miles.

Option 1: Meet at the El Rancho Market parking lot and ride north along Refugio Road to Baseline Road to Alamo Pintado and then west over Alisal Road. Once on Alisal you can ride as far as you want, doing only a few miles or riding all the way to the end. This option is approximately 31 miles (1,700 ft of elevation), if you ride to the end of Alisal Road. Since we return on the same road you can turn around at any time to shorten the distance of your ride to 20 miles.

Option 2: For those that would enjoy a longer ride and some additional hill work you can ride south on North Refugio Rd after we return to El Rancho Market. This is a steeper climb and adds up to 8 additional miles if you ride to the end of the road.

Helmets required.  Have plenty of water with you. Rain postpones.
