Sip wine & enjoy delicious hors d’oeuvres (prepared by Cottage Hospital’s own gourmet kitchen) while we learn more about Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital’s Art Collection.  The collection focuses on creating an overall healing environment with lots of natural light, gardens/green spaces, a spiritual center, meditation areas, water features and original art. Art adorns the lobby, gardens, terraces, niches, elevator landings, halls, waiting rooms and every patient room. A wide variety of media is represented, including sculpture, two-dimensional and three-dimensional artworks, mixed-media art, glass, mosaics, fabric, and photography. Following the introductory reception, we'll enjoy a docent led tour of the collection.  

Founded in 1888, Cottage is the largest acute care teaching hospital between Los Angeles and the Bay area.  The patient and family friendly hospital has won architectural awards as well as earning a coveted 5-Star rating.
