JESUSITA TRAIL TO INSPIRATION POINT – 8:30 AM. Our first hike in more than a month takes us up to Inspiration Point on a trail that was not affected by the Thomas Fire.  It is a partially shaded, very scenic hike.  Since some of us may be suffering from too little hiking and too many holiday treats, there are multiple turnaround points along the way.  Total Distance: 6 miles round trip. Elevation gain: 1100 feet. Hiking Time 3-3.5 hours (go at your pace). Difficulty: moderate to strenuous.

DIRECTIONS:  Exit 101 at Las Positas and turn toward the mountains. Crossing State St., Las Positas becomes San Roque. Continue on San Roque past 192. (You can also get to San Rogue via 192.)  Go 1/2 mile past 192 and park at the Cater Water Filtration Plant, the trail head for Jesusita.
