No Hike if raining!

BUENA VISTA TRAIL UP TO THE ROMERO CATWALK BENCH HALF WAY TOWARD THE ROMERO TRAIL.

 8:30AM Friday morning. No hike if raining.  No need to register, just show up. 

We're sticking to shadier and shorter hikes during the hot season.  This one begins at the Buena Vista trailhead on Park Ln, goes to the end of the Buena Vista trail, goes RIGHT at a split to a little uphill connector to meet the Romero catway. We then go about a mile to a bench overlooking Montecito and the Ocean. Total distance is 3 miles.  This is a scenic, not difficult hike (total elevation gain 850ft). There are many extensions available for those wishing to make the hike longer and or harder. 

Directions: From the 101, go north, toward the mountains, on San Ysidro to Hwy 192.  Go right on 192 for @.8mile, then take a left on Park Ln.  Go .3 miles and bear to the right to stay on Park Ln at Mountain Dr. junction.  Go .6 miles further on Park Ln to the Buena Vista trailhead on the left. (Note: you will pass the Old Pueblo trailhead sign at .5mile-the hike’s end point). There is good parking before and after the trailhead.
