Visual Arts - The Getty Center "London Calling"

Join us for this wonderful opportunity to view Getty Center's collection, temporary exhibitions, and outdoor art which reaches across European and American history from medieval times to the present.

Our day will begin at 9:00 am as we depart from Santa Barbara on a mini-coach bus for Los Angeles. The morning will be spent exploring the different galleries at the Getty.  Current temporary exhibitions include:

London Calling: Bacon, Freud, Kossoff, Andrews, Auerbach and Kitaj

The Shimmer of Gold: Giovanni di Paolo in Renaissance Siena

Recent Acquisitions in Focus: Latent Narratives

Richard Learoyd: In The Studio

Real/Ideal Photography in France, 1847 - 1860

We will meet for lunch at the self-service café that has indoor and outdoor dining areas with incredible views.

In the afternoon we will take a docent led tour of the unique architecture and gardens.  We will leave for Santa Barbara after the 45 minute tour at approximately 3:00 pm.
