you can't afford to miss

the last cheers! ever!!!

(from the current Cheers! Committee)

So now, for something completely different, you are invited to:

That's right, the July 12 Cheers! event is heading to the Funk Zone to hit one of the newest must-visit spots in SB.  Lama Dog Tap Room and Bottle Shop has 20 revolving beers on tap from a variety of microbreweries, each one more interesting than the last.  For those of you favoring wine, they also have an ever-changing selection of local wines on tap - trust me, you can find one to suit your palate.
If this were not enough to entice you to attend:

There is awesome food involved.  Attached to Lama Dog is The Nook, bringing a dose of eclectic California food that lives up to "cuisine" designation.  Try the blackened rockfish tacos.  Um um tasty!

So join us on July 12 to meet some newbies, mingle with friends and sample some of the best food and drink Santa Barbara has to offer.  As Monty Python warned, "Cuidado Lama Dog!"*

For more information about the venue, including directions and a list of their current beer selection:

*Monty Python actually never used the line, "Cuidado Lama Dog".  The line was actually "Cuidado Llamas" (Watch out for the llamas).  The difference between Lama, who is a large Tibetan Mastiff, and the llama of the skit are fairly evident. "The llama is a quadruped which lives in the big rivers like the Amazon. It has two ears, a heart, a forehead, and a beak for eating honey. But it is provided with fins for swimming."  Lama is also a quadruped but he lives on the East Side.  However, like the llama, Lama is bigger than a frog.
