CYCLING 

Saturday Jan 9, 2016 ride.    HELMETS REQUIRED. 

 
    The next bike outing will be on Saturday, January 9 to either Santa Claus Lane or Carpinteria from the Andree Clark Bird Refuge parking lot.  Depart at 9:30 AM, so try to be there by 9:15.  There are coffee stops at both turnaround places.  Santa Claus Lane is 15 miles, Carpinteria is 21 miles, (both are round trip numbers).  On the way back, we'll do a loop through the Polo Fields.  For people wanting more distance, just keep on going towards Rincon. To SC Lane or Carp, you've got one hill each way, the Summerland bike path along the 101. Total elevation to and from Carp is 678 feet, to be exact!  We should be back by noon.
