Caves & Coves Classic Kayaking Adventure

The ferry that delivers visitors to Channel Islands National Park is operated by Island Packers and departs from Ventura Harbor. Travelers board one of their stable, high-speed catamarans for the one hour journey to Santa Cruz Island.

All Caves and Coves adventures explore the sea caves within the Scorpion Marine Reserve.

Geared up and ready to go, paddlers hit the water for adventure! For CIO paddlers, that means exploring the nooks and crannies of the sea caves that surround Scorpion Anchorage. In addition to exploring sea caves, CIO guides are trained as naturalists and will make sure that island adventures include information on the island wildlife, kelp forest ecology, marine and intertidal species, natural history, and cultural history. We’ve heard people say “it’s like Disneyland!”, but to us, this is the kind of place that Disney visits for inspiration!

The cost for this event will be $140.00+$59.00 for the ferry ride.  Group discounts will apply depending on the number of registrants.  Upon registering on the Newcomer Website, an email will be sent for you to call Matt at Channel Island Outfitters (805-899-4925) to pay. CIO will take a deposit of 1/2 the registration with the balance due 7 days prior to departure.

Please call to make your reservations before Friday, March 27  to reserve your spot.  

If you call after this date, reservations will be on a first come first serve basis and payment in full will be due.
