SHORELINE PARK / SANTA BARBARA COMMUNITY COLLEGE (SBCC)

When: Saturday January 25th @ 9:00 AM. No need to register.

Directions: We will start at the free parking lot across the street from 1216 Shoreline Drive, Santa Barbara. Look for the Newcomers Sign.

Join us as we walk and explore Shoreline Park, Leadbetter Beach, and the beautiful vistas from the walking paths on the campus of Santa Barbara Community College. The walk will be a 2.7-mile loop that does include going down (not up) some stairs. In addition to getting close to the water and all of the activities that take place on a Saturday morning, we will also cross Shoreline Drive and ascend 150 feet on a wide, paved path up to the SBCC campus. From there we will enjoy some of the best views of the Santa Ynez mountains, the harbor, and the Channel Islands. Once we are on the SBCC campus, we walk along the edge of campus through some beautiful gardens.

No need to register. Just show up. After the walk, you can join us for coffee, tea, and treats at Lighthouse Coffee, 1819 Cliff Drive.

ATTENTION: Weekend Amblers continues to seek a committee chair (or two co-chairs) for next term, starting February 1! Otherwise, this group will go dark until a new chairperson is identified. We currently have a collection of about fifteen ambles that we rotate through, though a new chair would of course be free to add new ones. This is an easy Newcomers group to lead, as it is not necessary to deal with registrations or money.
