Let’s Meet Some New Friends!
Dining In! is all about making new friends. Here’s how it works. The idea is…let’s do a Potluck! Dinners can be more formal or completely casual (think cocktails and appetizers only) or anything in between. The Host gets to decide. You can even choose a special theme. Dinner parties range in size from 6-14 guests depending on what the hosts can accommodate. So, make some new friends and perhaps try a theme: Foodie, Vegan, Ethnic, Picnic, Singles Only or totally casual. We check with you after you sign up and try to match similar interests. Join in as either a Guest or as a Host. (We’re always ready to welcome new Host homes!)
So what happens after you sign up? The committee will contact you with a questionnaire to learn more about what kind of event interests you the most. We do our best to match up Newcomers interested in similar types of dining events. About ten days before the event, we will send you your Hosts’ name and address. The Hosts will contact you to finalize a plan for the evening.

REALLY IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ! This is one fun and popular event within Newcomers. There’s high demand to get a coveted spot at a host's table. Once you’ve spoken to your host and agreed to bring a dish, the other diners are counting on you. They want to meet you and get to know you and become your next best friend! How can they do that if you're not there! We know emergencies do come up and if you find you have to cancel after accepting a food assignment, please contact your host immediately. You will need to find another Newcomer to take your place (we can help) and bring your assigned dish. If that's not possible, have someone deliver a dish that you made or purchased to the home before hand so the other poor guests won’t starve!
