West Beach Clean-Up with Santa Barbara Channelkeeper

Join Newcomers and SB Channelkeeper June 11th from 10am to Noon to help clean up West Beach (Channelkeeper's adopted beach). All are invited -- bring family & friends! Kids are welcome!

With a sense of accomplishment, we will then mosey over to Leadbetter Beach for a well-deserved picnic potluck.  All are invited to this part too -- whether they attended the clean-up or not.

Details: 

1. The Clean-Up: Please register for free but provide number of guests you are bringing before you confirm your registration so we can get a headcount.  We'll meet at West Beach on June 11th at 10am, across the street from Sambos. You can park on the street or use paid parking by the harbor.  Snacks and clean-up supplies will be provided (you can also bring your own gloves if you prefer). Please wear closed-toe shoes as well as hat/sunscreen, etc. We will get an overview of Channelkeeper first, then we'll clean up "micro-trash" - mostly small pieces of plastic.
2. The Potluck: You don't have to register for this part -- anyone can drop by and join the fun.  Find our table at Leadbetter Beach -- look for red balloons and red tablecloth (and the newcomer sign of course).  Most of us will arrive shortly after 12pm, but some will be there all morning holding the table. Bring any dish to share.  We will have plenty of picnic supplies and beverages. Stay as long as you want!
